Day 1
ASWAN • PHILAE • KOM OMBO
Friday | Embarkation Your journey begins with pickup from your hotel in Aswan or Aswan International Airport at around 8:00 AM. Start your day with a visit to the magnificent Temple of Philae, one of Egypt's most beautiful ancient sanctuaries. Located on Agilkia Island, the temple was carefully relocated from its original island to higher ground to protect it from the rising waters created by the Aswan High Dam. Afterward, explore Aswan Souq, where you can browse the colorful spice stalls, shop for local products, practice your bargaining skills, and enjoy a refreshing glass of traditional sugarcane juice. Return to the Dahabiya for embarkation by 3:00 PM and enjoy lunch on board as the Amoura begins sailing north toward Esna. Relax on deck and watch traditional Nile life unfold along the riverbanks, from water buffalo and donkeys to fishermen and abundant birdlife. Arrive at Kom Ombo Temple at approximately 6:00 PM. Explore this remarkable temple dedicated to two deities — Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Its unique symmetrical design creates the impression of two temples within one complex. After the visit, return to the Dahabiya and sail to Basheir Island, where the boat will moor for the night. Meals: Lunch & Dinner Overnight: Basheir Island
Day 2
GEBEL EL-SILSILA • BASSAW VILLAGE • ISLAND DINNER
Saturday Wake up to a peaceful Nile morning and enjoy breakfast on board. At approximately 9:00 AM, sail toward Gebel el-Silsila, one of the Nile Valley's lesser-visited archaeological sites. Explore the ancient quarries and temples while enjoying a quieter side of Egypt away from the main tourist routes. Return to the Dahabiya for lunch before continuing north toward Bassaw Village. At approximately 3:00 PM, visit this small island community, home to around 500 residents. Discover a traditional way of life based largely on farming and fishing, with crops such as mangoes, bananas, and dates grown locally. Visit a local family's home and meet the residents while learning about everyday life on the island, including the role of education for girls in the community. Depending on local conditions, you may even have the opportunity to participate in preparing traditional sun bread. Continue sailing to a nearby island, such as Sarag or Fawaza, where you'll enjoy dinner in a beautiful outdoor setting. In the evening, the crew will organize an Egyptian cultural night, featuring traditional music, folklore, and entertainment. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Overnight: Nile Island
Day 3
EDFU • NILE SAILING • ESNA
Enjoy breakfast aboard the Dahabiya before continuing your peaceful journey north. At approximately 9:00 AM, arrive near Edfu and meet your guide for a visit to the spectacular Temple of Horus. Built during the Greco-Roman period, Edfu Temple is one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. Its remarkable state of preservation is largely due to the temple having been buried beneath desert sand for centuries. After exploring Edfu Temple, return to the Dahabiya and continue sailing toward Esna. Spend the afternoon relaxing on deck, watching the changing landscapes and villages along the Nile. Arrive in Esna and enjoy your final evening aboard the Amoura. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Overnight: Amoura Dahabiya in Esna
Day 4
Monday | Disembarkation
Enjoy your final breakfast aboard the Dahabiya before disembarkation. After leaving the boat, transfer to Luxor to continue your Egyptian adventure. you can enjoy sightseeing in Luxor before being transferred to Luxor International Airport or your hotel in Luxor. the Valley of the Kings Visit Temple of Hatshepsut Stop at the Colossi of Memnon Meals: Breakfast
